Meet the doctor
Clay Spencer DDS, MS
Dr. Spencer feels he belongs to a great profession. He loves what he does, but even more than that, he loves the opportunity it gives him to build relationships and serve others in a unique way. He believes that orthodontics gives him the ability to live out his convictions in a way that is fun and meaningful and, for that, he is grateful. He is especially proud to be able to serve the community that he grew up in and provide high quality orthodontics right here in Paris. He enjoys being able to see his patients around town and to treat family and friends from multiple generations.
Dr. Spencer attended Abilene Christian University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. His dental training was done at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Spencer then received his specialty training at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry where he completed his orthodontic residency and obtained a Master of Science.
Dr. Spencer and his wife, Maurine, are enjoying raising five daughters. He likes outdoor adventures, skiing (water and snow), hunting, basketball, efficiency, repetitive manual labor, big giant old trees, and a real fizzy Coke to drink. He’s not a fan of puzzles, word games, his ears getting hot, excuses, or wrinkles in his socks (you know, when the seam doesn’t sit just right in your shoes). Kelci
Office Manager
Running, a good nap, her dogs, traveling and spending time with family and friends are among Kelci’s favorite things. She, on the other hand, doesn’t like loud chewing, snoring, or tomatoes. Her favorite thing about her job is that magical moment when a patient’s braces are removed and they see their new smile for the first time!
Dori
Receptionist
Dori enjoys spending time with family, fuzzy blankets for snuggling, cheering on her girls in every activity, and summer nights outside. Dori does not like cold weather, snakes, pulling weeds, or coffee. A few things she loves about her job are learning new things, meeting new people, and having a great support team at work and at home.
Kristi
Treatment Coordinator
Kristi enjoys time with her family, traveling with her adult children, snow days, her church family and reading a good book. She would rather go without public speaking, mice, things that are too fishy, and clutter. A few things she loves about her job include her coworkers, learning new things and the work/life balance our office provides.
Susie
Orthodontic Assistant
Susie loves being a mom, gardening, and listening to people tell their story. She doesn’t like long car rides, slugs or June bugs (fair enough, right?) Her favorite thing about her job is connecting with the people that she meets and watching them confidently leave with a beautiful smile. She also loves working with Dr. S.
Nanette
Orthodontic Assistant
She likes spending time with family and her church family as well as gardening, crafting and making cards. She is not a big fan of grumpy people, uncooked onions, snakes and scammers. Her favorite thing about working at Spencer Orthodontics is helping others on their journey, and the enjoyable and fun work environment!
Katina
Orthodontic Assistant
Katina enjoys spending time with her kids, gardening, loving on her cats, riding her scooter, tending to her chickens, and all things chocolate. She isn’t a fan of mice, slow drivers in the fast lane, or folding laundry. Her amazing work family, learning new things every day, and interacting with our awesome patients are some of her favorite things about working at Spencer Orthodontics.
Andrea
Orthodontic Assistant
A few of Andrea’s favorite things include traveling with family, Mexican food, flowers, and country music from the 1980s and 1990s. Andrea isn’t a fan of aggressive drivers, eggs, or grasshoppers. Her favorite part of her job is getting to witness positive transformations in a patient’s smile with a supportive work family.
